Linda Walsh Casas

I am a Canadian writer and artist, born in London, England.  Since coming to Canada at the age of seven, I have lived in three different provinces- British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario.  I have also travelled and worked in Europe, Asia, and South America. 

Writing

My first publications, based on my PhD research and my work as a scientist at the University of Toronto, were in scientific journals.  I am a recipient of the Commonwealth Broadcasting Association Short Story Prize and the People's Poetry Prize.  My work has been read on CBC Radio.

Paintings

I have been exhibiting my work in galleries and art shows since 1991, and my paintings are in collections in Canada, the United States, Europe, Australia, and Asia.
